A Past VOB Event
The retired vets of US Navy Sailing
invited Vets, their families, and their special guests
to a private
“Get Away from it All” Day of Fun
on the Chesapeake Bay
Friday, August 22
The event featured:
- a narrated boat ride in Historic Annapolis Harbor
- lunch overlooking Historic Annapolis Harbor hosted by the Fleet Reserve Club
- Dessert poolside at the Annapolis Landing Marina
- Swimming and relaxation at the pool
Transportation was provided by Walter Reed – departure at 0830, return by 1600.
Veterans enjoyed a delicious lunch and everything they needed for a fun day was provided except a towel for going for a swim in the pool.
Volunteers helped out and joined in, getting some fresh air, and enjoying the local treasure that is the Chesapeake Bay while honoring the service of these heroes.
